The platform for the Electronic Building Identity opens in 'Exoikonomo - Renovate for Youths'

The Ministry of Environment and Energy announces that the electronic platform for completing the Electronic Building Identity is now available.

Who the process concerns

This move concerns those young people who have already submitted an application to join the "Exoikonomo - Renovate for Youth" Program and have specifically chosen the "Renovate" component.

Completing the Building Identity is the next mandatory step to continue the process, aiming for the energy and functional upgrade of their main residence.

Goals and progress of the program

The program, which is funded by the Recovery and Resilience Fund, has as its main goal:

  • To upgrade the energy class of residences by at least three categories (which translates to savings of over 30% in primary energy).
  • To support the new generation in acquiring and improving their first home, combining environmental protection with meaningful social assistance.

To date:
Already enrolled are 2,350 applications with a total budget of 31,956,765 euros.
The deadline for completing the Program has been set for April 30, 2026.

Total savings report

In total, the "Exoikonomo 2021", "Exoikonomo 2023", and "Exoikonomo for Youth" Programs have funded:

  • 98,437 beneficiaries, with emphasis on vulnerable households through increased subsidy rates.
  • The total subsidy amount amounts to 1,381,121,543 euros.
