Cost Coverage and Eligible Works
The subsidy reaches 80% to 90% of the cost, with a maximum of €300/m² and up to €36,000 per property. The first beneficiaries are expected to reach 20,000 owners, while eligible properties are those with building permits issued up to 1990 and an area of up to 120 sq.m.
Full renovations are covered: plumbing, electrical, kitchen, bathroom, new floors, replacement of frames, insulation, and energy upgrade of at least one level. The program supports families with disabilities, third-child families/multi-child families, and properties in island or mountainous areas.
Energy Interventions
- Mandatory upgrade of at least one energy level, e.g., new frames, heating, solar water heater, roof insulation, or awning.
- The subsidy increases by 5% for mountainous/island areas and 5% for third-child, multi-child families, and people with disabilities, reaching up to 90%.
- Renovation expenses must cover 60%-80% of the total cost, while the energy intervention accounts for 20%-40%.
- There is no age restriction for applicants, and each owner can submit applications for multiple properties.
Program Objectives
The goal is to increase the supply of housing for long-term rental or housing for public sector executives in areas with a housing shortage, while simultaneously promoting urban renewal and social support.
